PROPERTY REINSTATEMENT VALUATIONS

****NATIONWIDE SERVICE****

Introduction:

Your Insurance Policy is intended to include, among other things, the full or partial reinstatement of your property, in accordance with the insured risks as outlined in your policy.

It is important that you know what your policy covers and probably more important, what it does not.

Remember that insurance policies differ, some covering more than others, hence the importance of examining your policy carefully and insuring for the correct amount.

Insurance Policy:

Most insurance is intended to leave you in substantially the same position after the damage as before. It is therefore essential that you make sure your insurance policy includes cover for full reinstatement, or “new for old”. In case of any doubt as to what your policy covers you should contact your insurance company or broker.

Review

We would recommend an annual review of  your reinstatement valuation to take account of tender price inflation/deflation and market conditions. This may just require a very simple desk top review however,If you carry out substantial alterations to your property, we would recommend an immediate re-assessment.

Do not wait until the next big storm, freeze or other unfortunate destructive event to happen to find out you are not adequately insured.
